This research work analyzes the results obtained from assessing the work methods and activities of the supply chain in family businesses in the city of Bogotá. Starting from research and studies related to the supply chain, the theoretical elements that are taken into account in the characteristic operations in this type of companies are based, to then examine the dependence of the independent variables on the dependent variable quality. In this sense, an instrument was designed and validated, through which the data collected in the field was analyzed, and the correlations of all the variables were identified. Likewise, a factor analysis is carried out to identify the interdependence of the variables and determine the explanation for each one. The results show that the management of the supply chain processes in these companies is not adequate, presenting insufficient installed capacity that does not respond to their production and/or service levels, affecting their competitiveness; Likewise, its profitability is affected by the delay in supply by suppliers, and the delay in payment by customers.
